An agricultural system based on globalization and industrial farming has rendered farming unsustainable through dishonesty, where farmers are forced to buy high-cost inputs, and sell products cheap as commodities. Farmers loose and corporations profit both ways. Therefore, agro-ecology instead of large scale agro-business is needed in Asia and elsewhere, like creating communities between urbanites and their immediate local organic farmers as well as more urban-farming, while also using local currencies.
We have to move away from a linear, extractive, economy where everything moves up to the 1%, to a circular economy where money=energy constantly circulates in Nature and Community. We have to stop commodification of our resources and work, and create a win-win for local farmers and their consumers. A global "heart-bypass" is needed, because the arteries of the global heart are clogged with corporate greed!

There is only space for 3% of the global population in a Corporate Global Economy. So, another model of education is needed than the current University model. How about Rudolf Steiner's centennial Waldorf Schools, where they learn that life does not inevitably evolve in a linear fashion, but follows a life-cycle approach?
